Brake pad coefficient of friction?

Anybody know (or have a good guess) what the coefficient of friction was for the factory disc brake pads on a 70-72 Cutlass/442? It seems that brake pads on most modern passenger cars are in the .30 to .35 range, but I'm wondering (for comparison purposes) what the factory pads were rated at in 1972. I read one source that said early 70's cars were lucky to achieve a coefficient of friction in the .20 range because of the asbestos ban for brake linings.
