I just removed the rear axle from a 1966 Toronado. I don't know if they used the same wheel cylinders or not, but I could certainly send you the used ones from it. Or if you wanted new I could try and match them at the hardware store if they're a common size. John

OK, for the 1966 they used a 5/16 bolt that comes off with a 1/2" socket. The thread pitch is 18 per inch and the length including a washer looks like about 9/16" long. It could be 5/8" long too, I'm attaching a couple pictures but note that the bolt is still at a bit of an angle. I put the razor blade down as a spacer under it but it's still not horizontal to the tape measure. I hope this helps with your 1970! John

I just wanted to compliment you for being the nicest guy on this board. There are lots of nice folks on here but to do stuff like you have done in this thread is beyond what most of us would do. I know you have taken a lot of time to remove these bolts and take pictures and post them. It is stuff like this that makes this board the best.
Thanks for doing what you do.

Thank you for the complement Redoldsman. Yes I enjoy the community we have here. I don't have a ton of knowledge but I do have several tons of Oldsmobile clutter and a good digital camera! This is my way of contributing to the hobby we all share John
