Hi, I am doing a body off on a 67 442 HT and will be converting to power drum from manual drum. I had a booster rebuilt from another 67 by Steve Gregori many years ago and the the check valve hole is bigger than the newer cutlass ones. Is there a place to get the correct check valve. Thanks Steve
The 1966-67 cars use the straight check valve, P/N 5464705. This same valve is also used on early 60s Corvettes, so be sitting down when you search for NOS ones using that P/N on ebay...
Surprisingly, I can't find a source for a reproduction of this valve.
Long Island Corvette shows one in section #52 in their catalog part number 21B 64-67 (repo) P/B Plastic Valve and Grommet. Joe is correct, according to his picture this is not the correct one, shows to have a 90 bend. Joe could mean 60-63 Corvettes look them up. My 63 Corvette has manual brakes so cant help much. But in the meantime it could be a fix for $19.00 until you locate the real deal.

That's the problem. All the Corvette repro suppliers only sell the newer right angle valve, not the straight one. Given how **** some Corvette restorations can be, I was shocked. That also explains why NOS valves are going for ten times that price.
Thanks for the help guys. It would be cheaper to buy a newer reproduction booster than a check valve at this point. This will not be a 1000 point show car but a local shows and cruising car so this may be a better option for me. Steve
