65 Jetstar

I've searched and came up with dead ends, Many threads say you can't get a disc brake conversion for a 1965 Jetstar 88.

There has to be something out there. I wouldn't mind buying new rotors, calipers, brake boosters, I'd spend about anything (within reason) to convert my Jetstar 88 to 4 wheel disc brakes.

Is there any options out there? I do not have the tools at home to re-fab my own spindles.

Could I buy Delta88 rotors, spindles, swap them out, then find a easier disc conversion kit? The 425 I put in has to much power for manual brakes and i dont feel safe driving it

Since the Jetstar shares brakes with the Cutlass, why not try a Cutlass set?

They share with a 64 cutlass correct? So I can just by Cutlass Rotors and brakes, and add a brake booster?

Almost. The A-body rotors will fit on the J88 spindles. You will likely need to modify the caliper brackets by moving the mounting tabs due to the different bolt locations in the spindles. Other than that and bending custom hardlines, yes, the A-body disk brake kit should work. J88s are the only B-body to use the same wheel bearings and hubs as the A-bodies.

thanks Joe, I will keep researching and hopefully have some upgraded brakes before this white stuff melts on the ground

You said manual brakes why not put power brakes on it I changed mine over to a dual master cylinder with a 7" dual booster with all new lines wheel cylinders and shoes. Now I only have a 350 Corvette motor with 330 HP but it will lock all 4 wheels with just a slight touch of the brakes I know it is not as good as disc but it does a fine job of stopping the car.
