I'm hoping someone here can clear up for me exactly what part number and years cover a rear brake drum for a 1955 Olds super 88.

I have looked in my Hollander ( 27th edition 1961 print) and it says1952-1956 only.

Fusick say 1952-58 all rears are the same. part #2261

Kanter say the same. different part number

Ebay has an add for rear brake drum from 1952-69 #2261

Obviously 52-58 is a safe bet, but what about up to 69?

Reason I ask is I am in Australia, and the chance of finding a 52-58 rear drum is well rocking horse... BUT there is a chance of the later years as a few more of those cars came into the country.

I am expecting I will have to import them and the $$ is pretty steep, so I don't want to stuff up on what I get.

Anyone have a later hollander that confirms the proper years for rear brake drums?

You're right. I hope he's resolved the situation by now. My 34th edition Hollander doesn't go back to 1955.
