I'm finally getting the 53 back from the body shop, and I'm going to have to deal with an issue: the trunk lid is missing the latching mechanism, and I can't find one. I've just about reluctantly decided I may have to install a remote trunk popper, but I don't know if they are stand-alone units that replace the existing hardware or if they are an attachment to the existing hardware, which would not be useful.

Looking at sales descriptions have been worthless.

Can anyone clue me in?
