68 442 Hood looks bent

When sitting all the way flat the middle of the hood on both sides sits about 1/4” up like someone tried to force it down at some point. Would this be something a typical body shop could be able to fix?

Its probably your hinges are bent and I don't believe a typical body shop can fix. Here is a link to a company who fixes the hinges.

A bent hood is difficult to repair because it is a long flat surface and the most looked panel on a vehicle. The driver and front seat passenger are looking at it constantly every time the vehicle is in use. Is it possible to repair? Maybe. It's up to the skills of the body man. I had a top self body shop explained this to me. They would rather replace than repair a damaged hood. Of course this is for modern daily drivers. Keeping 50 year old steel on the road requires a different mindset and skills. My concern would be buckled sheet metal after repair attempts.
