Is this sandblasted enough ?

I wanted the experts opinion on this . I was at the local auto club , and one of the guys there said I need to get ALL of the dark spots in the pits on the metal .... is this the case ? or can I get away with some metal ready , clean part , and POR15 it . Thanks .....

Well, when I do it, I try hard to get all those little bits, but I know my father always says I'm crazy and do it too well.

I figure if I've gone that far, I may as well finish the job.

Ha Ha ! My wife tells me I go to far all the time . and I'm not talking dirty either . Yea I figured I would need to get all of it ... darn

C'mon - once you're married, you can't go "too far."

Thanks for the input guys . I was going to drill a couple of 1/8 holes through the last part on the bottom that can be seperated from the support/brace , so I can get it aligned properly again . I'm sure there is rust under there too .

POR15 was meant to be applied over rust, so you prepped it much better than the paint was designed for. It will be fine as others have said.
