Salon badge question.

Hello my cutlass salon badge with the flags, the tin(assuming here) incert that has the flags on it is coming unglued. I have new fender badges and maybe the trunk one. have o look. But for now till I repaint the car I'd like to just reglue that part back to the badge. What adhesive/glue should I use?
The repaint is a few years down the road, and the aged badges match the tired/thin paint look ATM. Saving the new badges for the redo.
Thanks for your time.

I installed one of those flag emblems a number of years ago on the glove box of my '72 CS ragtop, right under the 'Cutlass Supreme' lettering - it's a cool piece that added some character to my otherwise stock dash.

It had a thin strip of 3M adhesive tape on the back for attachment. That's probably what i would do if I were you - then at least if it ever had to be removed it would be easier than trying to pry it off of a glued surface.
