Rub Strip repair

I just got back my bumpers from the chrome shop. Looking awesome.
The front rub strip has one broken plastic mounting post . The post the nut attaches to. I dont have the broken off part.
The strip bulges when assembled to the bumper, right at the broken spot. Any ideas on repairing?

Mike, you can buy some HD 3M double sided tape. Stick one piece to the upper part of the bumper (where the top of the strip goes) and one to the bottom. Before pressing the strip to the bumper add some crazy glue to the tape. Hold or clamp for a few minutes and it should hold. You don't need to clamp it (or hold it somehow) overnights. The crazy glue will stick within a few minutes.

Contact the customer support at (believe it or not) VentShade. They have this 1/4" wide, fairly thin double sided foam tape that seals their plastic bits in 100+ mph winds. I've found tons of diy project uses, too.

Just ask for a roll and make SURE you clean with Grease aad Wax remover prior to installation.

Oh...and pray you get it straight the first time, 'cause there ain't no easy way backing out!

Sound like an idea. I have used some of that foam tape. Any thought on a mechanical fastern? Or epoxy?

Thanks

I've repaired a few by doing this.

Sharp knife and cut a round plug from the front of the impact strip. Go about half of the thickness deep.
Drill hole through the rest of impact strip and insert a flat headed screw or bolt.
Shave the plug down for a flush fit and use adhesive to cover the screw head.
