Remove and replace same door skin?

Any of you body guys know if it feasible to remove a door skin to media blast both inside of door frame and maybe part of the skin and then install same skin again?
Ive never done a door skin so I don't know if its destroyed when removing?
Maybe easier to just dip the whole door if possible?
No major rust issues but surface rust on inside of door but skin is good.

Thx

There is no way to remove a door skin without destroying it .
Wirebrush all the loose rust and dirt off , and paint the inside of the door with POR 15 .

I did it last year with great success. Let me find the pictures and post them here. I even made a tool to help gently remove the door skin around the edges. I had to rebuild the front lower corner and some inner bracing.

After drilling out all the spot welds, slowly work your way around the door skin lifting the edge a little at a time. It may take several times around to get it lifted enough to remove the door skin.
Bought a cheap wood chisel set and locking pliers. Cut the tip off the wood chisel and welded on the pliers.
Here are some of the spot welds that need drilled out.
The inside of the door.
Back side of the skin.
Here’s the corner I rebuilt
More reconstruction.
Inner brace after drilled out it’s spot welds. I soaked it overnight in some solution I bought at auto parts. I can’t remember but it removes most of the rust from the pits. What was too far gone, I cut out and welded in a patch.
Reassembled inner door bracing.
Sprayed everything with epoxy primer.
Back side of the door skin sprayed too.
Everything back together. Don’t forget to spot weld all around the skin where you drilled them out earlier.

Here is the correct tool:

https://www.eastwood.com/single-pass...hoCjEYQAvD_BwE

You can buy repro door skins too.

That tool is for installing not removing a door skin. At nearly $400 for a new repo skin, I choose to try and reuse mine knowing worst case, I’d have to buy a new one.

Patent that bad boy

That's impressive. How many people would rather reuse the old skin than take a four hundred dollar Chinese thin metal beating. Add me to that list.
