rain gutter chrome

rain gutter chrome

does anyone know of any tricks in removing the piece of chrome that runs olong the edge of the roof,maybe aspecial tool or something , thank,will.

Yeah, the "special tool" looks like this:



Use the flat end, not the pointed end. Start at one end of the trim strip and carefully pry it up with the bottle opener. I wrap the opener in electrical tape first to prevent scratches. It works great.

If you can't grab the bottom edge and roll it off with your fingers take about half a paint stirring stick or short length of 1x with a good edge and from the inside of the car hold it lengthwise and just catch the bottom edge of the molding. Tap the edge of the wood gently with a rubber hammer and work the trim loose from one end a couple of inches at a time. After it's loose on the bottom start at one end and gently pull it up and off working slowly down the length.
