Mirrors

I have a 71 442, with sport mirrors. I would like to put convex glass in the right one. Has anyone done this and where did you get the glass.
Thanks

The mid-70's and newer had glass that made things look closer than they really were. Is this what your looking for? If so, you could probably get the mirror portion from one of these late model mirrors.

I think I might have found one. I never replaced just the glass, is that easy?

70-81 camaro firebird used the same mirrors as 71-72 442. I believe around 1975 or so they began to use the convex glass with the text on it.

To remove, take the screw on the base of mirror out. This will allow the mirror to be removed from the door. Then remove the two screws holding the base to the mirror housing. This will also disconnect the mirror. Pretty straight forward and in my opinion a pretty nice upgrade.
