Has to be a way ?
I have a 1957 Oldsmobile 98 I have been restoring for about 6 months now. I got the engine all rebuilt and the car is getting ready to go off to the paint booth. My question is I took off all the chrome pot metal and was woundering what is the best way to polish it up. It is in great shape..Thanks

I read an article in a magazine, I think it was in Street Rodder that was about this. They used polishing products and a buffing wheel with a number of different grits/finishes to bring the stainless back to a mirror shine. It seemed like a long process. I guess this is the "old school" way which requires lots of man-hours but it sure gets results. Like a paint job or chrome, the smoother the stainless, the better is shines like a mirror.
