Fiberglass 442 hood
Fiberglass 442 hood
Anyone have any ideals on how to finish the inside scoop area on these hoods ? Is there any kind of trim piece available to hide the rough fiberglass look inside the scoops. Would be kinda tough getting a nice finish with bondo or something like that I would think.
It sounds like you have a glasstek repro hood? I don't think there's really anything you can do about that. Maybe address the question to the manufacturer, and let them know you're no happy about the finished look of the product?
The OEM W25 hoods all had a steel liner so none of the fibreglass you're seeing was visible. The steel liner also makes it a slam dunk for bolting right up with stock hood springs.

I'd ask Thornton if they'll sell you one of their steel liners. I have no idea what they'll say, but for sure there will be no warranty. I'd bet the cost of the liner would be close to 700.00 at a guess.
