Door mirror

Is there any way to tighten up a door mirror that is loose and won't hold its setting?

Sport or chrome? Base or just the glass part?

There should be two button head allen screws that you tighten up from the top. If you already tried that and it still loosens up, maybe squirt a drop of blue loc tite on each screw.

Not a problem tightening to the door. It's the mirror head that is now loose. I have recently read where it's swaged in there and once it's loose there's not much you can do about it.

So it's loose where the mirror attaches to the base (the ball)? If so, same thing..adjust your mirror to where you want it, then a couple drops of loc tite at the ball socket where the mirror attaches. Let it set up and you should be good. This was the advice from some members here on the forum after I was having the same problem with mine on my '72 Supreme.
