Getting ready to start a dash/cowl repair. I bought the top cowl and repair patch panel below but its not thick enough to cover all the rust on the Dash. Where did you find the chevelle dash repair panel or 69 cutlass dash repair panel? Many thanks!

When I did mine I also bought this panel from parts place. They said it was correct for my fix. I still have this part and it is not what I needed to fix that area. They need to not tell people this will fix a rusty dash. It won't. I searched high and low and wound up driving from north Idaho to the Sacramento area for a complete dash out of a 69 cutlass. They are very hard to find. I looked all over the country but the southwest seems to be the best spot for minimal or no rust.
You may already know this but each A body variant has a different dash, olds, chevy, buick, pontiac convertible and hard top all different. Good luck on the hunt.

 

Thanks for the reply. So far no luck in salvage dash, all have been rusted. Still trying to figure out if I can buy a replacement dash for another A body that I can splice in. Hard to believe the top of dash piece is not made for the Cutlass or another car that would work but so far no luck...
