Correct blue convertible top

I have a 1970 98....azure blue, blue interior....the cowl tag says the convertible top is blue. Currently it is sporting a white top....can anyone tell me what is the correct color of blue that the top should be? Many thanks for reading and helping!

I am not an expert, but researched this subject for a long time, but 69 & 70 used the same color blue tops, which is no longer being made. I received color samples from all the vendors out there. A company up east, aro2000 was the company that had the closest match.
I considered color dyeing this top to get closer, but decided that was a risk I did not want to take.

good luck...

Here is the actual blue fabric sample for the convertible top in 70. This is from the dealer book.

No problem. I have the 70 dealer book with all the samples. Just took a picture of it for you. Now you can try to get a close match.

69442murph, I'm curious which of the aro2000 colors did you end up using?
Sometimes it's really hard to accurately judge a color from an internet pic, and I assume you actually saw fabric samples before choosing.

Good question

I havent chosen yet but i was leaning towards A39...the dark blue. Now with the actual top color being posted on here I may have to reevaluate.

It's tough to compare, due to differences in lighting and digitization, but I think that the second to last color in the Aro colors was darned close.

This compares the last color and the second to last color with the original.

I'd ask for a sample of those two blue colors and see how they look in real life.
