I have a 1968 cutlass s, and my friend has a 69 s. My car has all the chrome trims along the top of the fender around the windows n top of the car and etc.,and his does not. His car has the chrome trim all around the wheel wells and and the bottom of his doors. I was wondering if this is just because of the model differences are was this an option for both years ? And I also want to know if those lower chrome trims would fit on my 68, and if so does anyone have the specific name of them are no where I can get them ?

 

Sounds like you have a Cutlass S trim level while the other car is a Cutlass Supreme trim level. Side trim between 68 and 69 wasm pretty much the same model for model.

I'll bet the VIN on that 69 starts out 342... instead of 336...

 

Do you guys know where I can find those lower trims at ?
