Chrome + Rust, Fix

I saw this tip on American Restoration. Maybe you already know about this, but I wanted to share it with everyone:

1. Aluminum Foil - ball it up
2. A bowl of water
3. Dip the foil ball into the water
4. Sand the chrome with your foil ball

This will remove small amounts of rust, as well as overspray paint. It also shines the chrome.

It works great!

I'm going to try that tomorrow on my back bumper. It has overspray, tape residue, and small rust specks. Its an original 70 bumper with the exhaust cut outs. It was re chromed about 7 years ago.

I tried it out on my front bumper, it removed the overspray, lighter rust, and gave it a good shine.
Good luck!

Blue SOS soap pads work very well to clean chrome without scratching.
