Body Trim Clips

I have several of the small studs broke off that hold the clips which in turn hold the chrome trim around the rear window. How do I replace these?

Rick, I think theeasiest way might be using screw in trim studs, as a caveat I have never used them, I was considering them, but might just pick up a stud welder dent puller machine at harbourfreight

The right way to replace the studs is with a stud welder. Using a screw is asking for a water leak and future rust.

Definitely don't want to introduce rust into the equation. I'm assuming a body shop would be equipped to weld on the studs?

Rick I would think so, however eastwood and others sell the tool, might come out less than having it done at a shop.

Randy I have seen them at eastwood , and a number of other places eastwood sells the welder, welding tips etc as well , I am thinkingnthe tip should fit the harbor freight welder which is like a hundred bucks would be worth it if you have window and door trim to do, then after drop it on ebay to recoup some of your costs?

Without getting into the details of your request and being short on time, I thought I would just throw this out there...
