A body A arm outer.

My 72 has arrived in oz. To say the least it has some rust issues around the wind shield. Pretty well needs both a arm outers and new front cowl. Last time I bought replacement floor panels I got lucky. Anyone know who the best supplier might be or is this a fabrication job. Cheers for any feed back!!

I'm not sure what you mean be A-arm outers, exactly, but the cowl panel is common with Chevelle and all the Chevelle repro parts vendors sell them.

What Joe said, I have a local supplier for Chevy parts. Needed a lower windshield channel for my 68 Cutlass, got a Chevelle channel, fit it, worked out perfect.

Thanks for you're replies. I think I found the parts at the parts place. $49 a pair. They are the two outer pieces than run down each side of the windshield into the cowl. I also have a major rust issue along the top of the windshield. Im tackling the scary stuff first so I can get on with the stuff I knew about. I have to say I never quite realized how many little parts can make up every item I strip. Its going to be a fun winter..

Ah, the A-pillar (as opposed to A-arms).

not exactly what i had in mind

The parts I ordered were only 1/3 the solution. I was hoping it was the whole assembly(although the price did seem a bit cheap). Is it possible to find the whole piece pre assembled or have I entered the world of fabrication??? As the pictures show I have the drip rail attachment instead of the whole piece down to the cowl. I had thought that the A pillars would be the inside of the part as it seems more structural. Ive got a lot to learn but one piece at a time I hope I will get there. I really welcome all support. Thinking of painting it a crazy fire metallic red. soooo so far away! Cheers.

I'm not aware of anyone reproducing the actual A-pillar for the 68-72 cars. You are looking at either finding a good donor or fabrication.

Thanks joe, I'll give fabrication a go and see how it turns out. I've got some sheet metal from the old floor so at least it will be the original steel.

I have several parts cars & I'm pretty sure I can provide some nice or better A pillars.
