alaska 442 needs floor pan recommendations
Hello everyone I removed the carpet from my 69 442 and I have some rust poking through in the foot wells. Its not really bad but... Anyway I know this subject has been discussed on this site and I have read a few threads. I still have a few questions Joe P. stated on one thread that AMD and Auto body specialtys sell a higher quality (thicker gage)part and also a cheeper thinner one. Question 1) What gage should be looking for 21? Question 2 both companys stated above are on the east coast is there a quality vender on the west side of the country? I live in Alaska. Does Original Parts Group sell good quality sheet metal?
Thanks Scott

I have a an assortment of old junk. I like em all. 55 T bird, 59 Buick Invicta, 65 Chevelle, 65 Mustang,
67 Chevelle, 67 Falcon Van, 34 Ford Rat Rod and the newly acquired Olds. Most are projects.

AMD Floorpan
If it’s as bad as you say, I highly recommend a full pan from AMD, but you will need to raise the body off the frame to allow room to install it. I did a full pan replacement with inner rocker panels. It was a lot of work but not rocket science by any means.
in juneau we use that thick mudflap material and that spray that turns rust black. the olds guys on here would be amused by the classics around here riddled with rust , roaring at 600 hp
i had meats on my toronado (michelin ltx at lt235/75/15) and she plowed the road and pulled several trucks from the ditch.
