Both look good to my untrained eye. Neither have the tooth or any latch hardware. The primed one has no chrome trim at the rear. Currently running a flat hood with excellent chrome and tooth and latch. Are the chrome pieces all the same between the flat hood and the double hump? Anything I need to check to make sure they will work? Planning on using the primer painted hood and selling the red one once finished. What’s the market like for these?
The chrome at the rear of the hood is the same on all 1968-72 hoods. The chrome at the front is the same on all for a given year. The 1969 hoods use a different latch mechanism than the 1970 hoods.
Thanks, any way to tell the year of these hoods? And if they are a 70 can I just transfer the tooth and latch mechanism off my existing flat hood to it?
Think I answered my own question.
Here is my existing hood
this is the primer hood.
this is the red hood, 1970?
If the chrome all fits I may be in good shape, prefer to use the primer hood.
The red hood is pretty clean, that will be the I will sell if the other works fine.
