66 Cutlass "Midnight Rider"

Guys:
I got the tub back from the blaster and everything is now in Etch Primer, I was getting ready to rough hang the doors and was looking into getting new door hinges. The top hinge that came off the car is a cast 2 piece type hinge, it is identical to the ones sold for the 65 Cutlass instead of the stamped steel hinges shown for the 66 Cutlass, the lower hinges look pretty similar for the 65 and 66 models. I have had the car since 1974 and it showed no signs of ever being repaired while doing the teardown. My question is, will the hinges from a 65 Cutlass bolt up and be functional on a 66 Cutlass? The car has always had issues w/ the tops of the doors sitting very close to the tub, leaving the tops of the fenders approx 1/4" proud of the doors outward and the weatherstripping smashed almost flat. Joe P. helped me decipher the body tag and figure out the car was an early 66 production run. My next question is who sells the best reproduction hinges, I would rather use OEM hinges but they need to be in very good to almost new condition, you guys have been a big help in this project.
Thanks Ron

Can you possibly post a picture or two of where the upper hinge bolts to the cowl? I had a similar issue on a 65 Malibu conv, just wondering if your mounting point is similar, and if my solution might be applicable for you.
