1974 delta 88
FYI the 71/72 isn't really interchangeable with 73-76 because they used different bumper brackets and mounts.
I believe the 73-76 front headers, hoods, bumpers and fenders are pretty much interchangeable with each other, but each of those model years had a different front grille design. So if you are trying to keep it looking original, I think the only way would be to use the same year header. Other than that, some of the B car owners can probably give you some better advice on the fenders. There are probably some subtle 'appearance trims' that are different, but I'd bet the bolt patterns are the same.
Also, if memory serves, the hoods, and fenders and bumpers from the 98 can cross fit to the Delta line. The headers should be interchangeable within each model year since the styling for each year was pretty much the same.'
Don't know if this is what you're looking for.
70 doesn't have interchanges with the parts you described. What parts are you trying to fit?

I'm pretty sure the '73 and '74 sheetmetal will line up, but there are parts that won't - the grille is different - I think different signal light locations, and the rear bumper is different - shock absorbing in '74, not in '73. The dashboard is also completely different.

I believe the 71/72 front ends were metal. 73 I think is fibreglass. but you're right, it's a two piece upper and lower. If you can't find a lower valence (check web for 73 cars parting out - Delta 88, Ninety eight and Custom Cruiser. The valence will be the same.
On the other hand if you want to just bolt on a new front, you should be able to pick and choose from the 74,75,76?? I particularly like the 76 because it has a real clean look, and the lights and signals are all grouped - not in the bumper or valence. You could probably bolt it straight on. Don't know what the cost of a front valence and bumper (complete) would be, but I don't think it's a bankbuster for these old cars since they aren't what most people consider 'collectible'.
74 - note wideset spacing between grills and the headlights are mounted into a twin bezel. Bumper and signals look the same as 75 (next photo)

1975 - note spacing between individual grills + less spacing in the middle. Headlights are individually set into the header panel.

Cosmetically, I think this is the nicest - 1976. The front clip should line up the same as the other front headers....

I did a quick web search and found these web sites that had 73 Delta parts. Might be worth phoning and seeing what they got.

I don't remember who, but someone on this site ( I think it was someone from Canada) had found a 1974 Ninety Eight that the frame was shot, but all the rest of the trim and front end was in good shape. Maybe check the Ninety Eight section?

Here's the post on the '74 Ninety Eight Regency in Canada. His name is Leith and I've been in touch with him about a handful of parts off this car but the winter has slowed any progress in getting those parts off the car.

I agree that the '76 nose is the nicest of the '71 - '76 but I am a little biased as I own 2 '76 Ninety Eights
Keep in mind that there was no '76 Eighty Eight convertible...the last year was '75 and as you can see, the noses are different. Not that a '76 convertible would look bad, quite the contrary, but you will likely get some backlash. I happen to really like the '74 nose as well as the '75 and I hope to own a convertible from either year someday soon....I really love the taillights on the '74 and that year has a few little touches they took away in '75. Both are gorgeous cars and yours looks really nice.
Let me know if I can help at all.
PS...I think the pic of the '75 above is a guy's I know in California named Tom...he also owns a really nice '75 Ninety Eight.

I appreciate your patience. The snow is almost gone.
You don't have one.
Notice that in this picture of a '73, there is a painted piece under the bumper holding the signal lights:

while in this picture of a '74 (like yours), the bumper goes all the way down and holds the signal lights itself, and there is no painted piece:

The painted piece is the valence.
I think most pople with '74s and '75s have "valence envy"
.

Although I'm glad to see it wasn't crushed, it is such a shame that this car was left to rot. A low mileage '74 Regency Coupe...the first year it was available. At least it can be a good donor for our cars.
