Looking for some info on the emblems on 71 cutlass s fenders. Are the emblems the same distance from edge from RH TO LH. I’m trying make 72 fenders work. They have “S” on them. Which I’m going to close those holes. They look differently spaced from side to side. Thanks

My '71 has factory fenders.
On the driver's side, the furthest point of the script to the rear is the top of the last s in Cutlass and is 2 5/8" from the edge.
On the passenger side, the furthest point of the script to the rear is the loop of the C and it is 1 11/16" from the edge.

 

Sounds like the same as mine. Factory fenders to the best of my knowledge.

 

Driver side. Looks like this needs to be filled and repositioned?

Previous owner replaced the drivers fender but didn't have the emblem on it.
