1970 "Oldsmobile" Script for Deck Lid

Need some help with the hole location for the "Oldsmobile" Script on my Rallye 350 Deck Lid. After having a few discussions on Facebook, I got curious and relooked at the deck lid on my F85 Rallye, it currently has a "Cutlass" Script on the right side of the Deck Lid. I am fairly sure this is not correct. I am going to assume the holes for the scripts are not the same, but I do not know. If someone could get me some measurements or guide me in the right direction I would be grateful.

I will be on the hunt for a NOS Oldsmobile Script, I will post that in the Parts wanted section.

Thanks,

Can't say as I have ever seen an Oldsmobile script emblem in that location. All of the cars I remember had a Cutlass script. Oldsmobile script on the hood, yes.

From what I can tell, it was only on the Base F85 models.

I found this and sure enough, it has an Oldsmobile script emblem on the deck lid (at 2:22 in the video). I wonder if it is the same emblem that was used on the base 442 hood?

It's hard to tell from these pictures if the emblems are the same or not.

From what I can tell in the parts book the hood "Oldsmobile" Script was Part Number 230474. I can only assume they were different. But who knows.

Only 3177 and 3277 models received a "Oldsmobile" deck lid scrip, and it isn't the same piece as 442 hood emblems

But it is the same as station wagon tailgate (but not Vista of course)

8700909 is what you want

Your rallye 350 should have a Cutlass script on the trunk regardless if was a 3277 model. Your car Said "Cutlass" on the fenders, and trunk matched. Better explained: rallye 350s did not use the base model emblems on the exterior. I had a conversation with Dave Bunch regarding this topic since the dash said "F-85", and exterior was cutlass emblems. For further clarification you want to check the assembly manual, and is your trunk lid original to your car?

Do you happen to know where it says that. In the assembly manual under 35W45 page 102 it does say they removed the F85 and replaced it with Cutlass on the front fenders, but it does not say the oldsmobile was removed from the trunk and replaced with Cutlass. Just want to figure this out, I just checked my database of 3277 (F85) Rallye's and all but one of them had Oldsmobile Script:
