Does anyone know if the windshields on a 61 and 62 hardtop are the same? I know they are very different body styles, but the shape and size of the glass looks close.

 

What series are we talking about ? 88, 98, F-85 ?
Also two or four door ?

 

The 61 is a 2 door model 88 and the 62 is a 2 door starfire. Both are hardtops.

 

No, according to the Oldsmobile Body Parts Book . The listing goes;
1961 all exc conv.; 1962 all exc conv, Holiday Coupe, Sport Sedan, & F-85 #4802392
The 1962 Starfire is classified as a Holiday Coupe (3647) so it would be an exception.
I believe the difference was that the 61 hardtop was a "bubbletop" and the 62 Starfire had a "convertible look roof ".

You might look around for other GM 1961 makes (Chev, Pontiac, Buick ) with the same style roof for a match . MEASURE carefully.
