I'm in the rust removal stage of my 72 Cutlass. Removed front bumper and wanna know are they worth the effort. I have no problem putting in the time to wire wheel the rust from the inside & polish the front. Did a small sample of both & most likely looking at about a half day to make it about a 10ft bumper. It's got some chips & scratches. Would have to be rechromed to be mint. Are the originals worth the effort when I can buy a new one for $300. I don't give a rats *** about keeping everything 1972 I just want it to look showroom when I'm done. If the original is a way better product then I'm all in. It does appear to pretty heavy duty, can't imagine the new ones would be, but that's why I'm asking. If it is worth it what's a about price for rechrome, chrome dipped whichever. Thx
