well, when I bought this WIP car, the guy had put a long wire that extended down past the front bumper to pull on to open the hood. I hadn't replaced the latch yet, obviously, and yesterday when I tried to open the hood, the wire came off...
Any good ideas how I can open the hood now?? any help is so much appreciated.

You should be able to lay down under the front of the car and put another wire through the latch until you can get a real hood handle.

Year One has the latch, but I'm still waiting for the $1.49 retaining clip...
