71-72 sport mirrors

Looking for a set of 71-72 cutlass sport mirrors in good shape. Paint doesn't matter, just good glass and working remote. Let me know what you have and how much. Not looking to spend a fortune, I've already bought a set but they were for the 73 and newer ones, the remote mounting surface was different. Pictures would be great, thanks.

sport mirror conversion

hi there not an expert on these mirrors but this is what ive seen on these mirrors over the years, i belive the actual mirrors are the same till 77 as for the mounting plate you can pick them up for about 25 dollars at the parts place or other outfits .not sure if the remote cable from the 73 will adapt to early style plate this is something ive been thinking of trying with my 72 cutlass(found a set in junkyard off 74 grand prix) just havent bought properplate yet to try this, ill let you know if it works out, might be a month though.

Fusick sells them new ... remote on the driver's side, no remote on the passenger side. They come primed and ready to paint!

If I remember correctly the housings are both the same right and left. But the glass is a different size from one side to the other.

Isn't the leg, the part that bolts to the car a mirror image?

Yes. More importantly, the leg is different heights for different cars. The F-body mirrors are taller than the ones used on A-body cars. The head is the same, but the leg is different.

Bump. Still looking for a set of 71-72 sport mirrors. If anyone is interested, I have a 72 cutlass battery tray, a set of battery cables for a 1966 cutlass, and a water pump for a 73-77. Just in case.

Here is a couple of pics, the drivers side mirror is date coded for july 1970, it has some scratches in it it's not perfect, but not too bad and I tried to get a close up of the remote for you. I just noticed the passenger side mirror says "objects in mirror are closer than they appear" and this glass is worse than the drivers side perhaps a replacement for a broken mirror? As it's defineately newer 74 and up? I don't really know. I also noticed one of the gaskets is beveled like the Buicks and the Olds flat style gasket isn't the greatest so they should both be replaced. The remote works good, all of the screws are all there except one of screws that holds the mirror to the bracket. Let me know what you think.

The ones in the pictures are not for your car. The 73 doors were a little different and the mounts were longer. The ones in the picture appear to be for 71-72. There is a difference. I sold my 73 mirrors previously, because I couldn't use them. Sorry.

Again, the 71-72(if that's what they are) in the pictures are not for your 73-77 Oldsmobile.
