56 BULB

Needing some help on this one. The car is a 1956 olds rocket 88 4dr sedan .hopeing some one can help me out with this , i would like to see if anyone can give me the oe part numbers{ maybe that number may be usefull} for the pinchweld clips for the rear windshield moldings i bought some from a supplier but they are not tall enought when installed to properly hold the molding . I measured the area from the the top of the pinch area up & i think the clip has to be around .750 / 3/4" tall the ones someone sold me are about .625 / 5/8 & . Question #2 i also need the numbers for the front windshield clips it has the slot in the rubber that the moldings go into when i got the car all the clips & etc . Had been removed so i really dont know what i am looking for. The auto fair is comining to charlotte this weekend & i only live 35 minute from the track so i was hopeing to get them. These are not a matter of life & death but ,thank you in advance to everyone , mark

Might want to post your question in the vintage Oldsmobile forum. Have a '56 88 sedan but no body manual which would have the clips in it with the part numbers.

Just a thought but if you could take the wrong clips to a place that does fasteners for the body shops in your area and point out your problem and size issues I'm sure they could help. From my experience often a replacement won't look kike the original or have the same number but will work just fine..... As mentioned from above you might get more responses if this was posted in the vintage section....... Tedd
