Beware! CHL drip rail moldings

i just purchased a pair of drip rail moldings manufactured by a company named CHL parts. After removing the drivers side which fit well but was scratched, I tried to put the new one on. It is 1/4” too short! No matter if I put the front on first or start from the rear it ends up being 1/4” short of fitting over the body’s drip rail. I’m not going to cut the old drip rail to fit the junk molding but short of stretching the molding (good luck on that) I don’t know what to do. The car is a 66 442 hardtop. Any one tried another brand with luck?

I haven't used parts from that company, however; if the pieces were made in any overseas manufacturing plant, you can bet your britches they will not fit properly. I try my best to buy only USA made parts.

Ed believe me I would buy US made parts if I could find them. I would say less than 1 out of 100 companies selling repro parts sells US made items.

They are bright anodized aluminum as were the originals. I’ve read the 68 to 72 ones are stainless. The 66 and 67 moldings are all aluminum.

OK, I think I have a nice set but the shipping would probably be a bitch.

I got some today made by Dynacorn. They look like the same length as the old ones. I’m going try one tonight. If they don’t fit I’m going to try OPGI moldings. I’m pretty sure they will fit.

Just got through putting the Dynacorn molding on. It actually fit pretty well. There is about a one foot section up front that needs to have the bottom tightened up a little so it doesn’t push in but that is it. All in all for Taiwan made junk I’m satisfied.
