Not to sound naïve, but what does that mean?

Like the Mopar wide body. The rear quarters are extended out (messaged) so a wider tire is possible. Not the Oldsmobile purist vision but .

Ah, I see. The opposite of "tubbing."

Yes! Looks awesome on the new cars. They are uni-body though. Thought it would be cool to see a cutlass convertible with that option. I want to and don't see why not since mine is not original. OK so there may be that MONEY issue. Hate that. Will see. Never know till you ask.

Just how big of a tire are you wanting to throw on it? And are you talking on the front as well?
I have fit a 295/50/15 under the rear with no issues. The front I have done a 255/60/15.

I thought about cutting my 66 and welding in my own flares for a "wide body" type deal. I can already fit a good size tire though so I feel it pointless unless I do it just for looks

Just wondering how it would look. Just the rear. Ill check on the 295/50/15 tire. Thanks for the info. If I like that look it would be much easier.
