I am looking for a good quality vinyl top for my 69 442. Please comment on the brand and you may have used, how long you have had it and your level of satisfaction. Thanks in advance!

I have had my top on for about 11yrs and it still looks great. I use a product called 303 Aerospace Protectant to keep it looking that way. I installed the top myself.

 

I appreciate that sir. Did you have any issues with the installation or is it pretty straight forward?

 

I did not find it to be all that difficult. I used Weldwood Contact Adhesive which held so far.

Not sure on vinyl tops if reproduction or not from SMS but most of the interior material they sell for Oldsmobiles is original not reproduction. I know they remake some fabrics and vinyl for some applications. I did my 76 442 swivel seats with Osbourne plaid a few years ago and the fabric and vinyl were perfect matches. When Covid 19 started they ran a "first time ever" sale for 19% off and I got a bunch of NOS fabric and vinyl for the buddy seats in my old Dodge pick up truck. They look awesome. They may not be fast getting it to you (sometimes a 2-3 month wait for fabrics maybe 2 years on door panels?) but if you want original, for me they have always had it.
