wondering what your guys think on this

going to tackle my wells here and I have found some surface rust between the inner and outer seam

I picked up some rust converter and was going to put it in there then seam seal it then put the bed armour on

I just don`t want an issue down the road ..

 

How bad is the rust your talking about? Got a pix? I only ask because everyones idea of surface rust is different. I'm from upstate ny and I have been doing body work for over 25+ years now and I have seen lots of rust repairs in my days. so I would love to help you in any way I can.

Wow that's clean I live in the rust belt so seeing pix's like these makes me drool. Honestly wire brush the areas and then use your converter. Hell even around here a car with that little rust would out live us all. I'm going to show you what I usually start with when I work. I'll be right back.

 

Here's a good example of what i have to deal with when I get a car into work on.

After a day of tear down: Both rear quarters had to be removed and trunk extensions were bad to. Probably should have siad there were no rear quarters or trunk extensions because honestly I din't have much to remove. LMAO!

I am no body man by far that is why I asked about the rust
the thing that would drive me nuts would be to have the rust burst through 6 months after the car is on the road

 

if you can get to both sides of it and seal it with por or something like it it should stop it

 

Ok to be honest,... if it was in my shop I would sandblast it then put epoxy primer on it then cover it with Gravetek under coating and that should slow it down for quit awhile.
