Vinyl top trim
I'm considering using the vinyl top trim and using the body color there instead. Or maybe a two tone painted vinyl top ? Is anyone else's car set up like that? Looks clean imp

My dad bought a 1970 Cutlass S Holiday Coupe back in the day after my brother crunched his 69 Cutlass S post sports coupe all to hell and back. It was dark blue with a white painted top and blue cloth interior. It used the same trim as a vinyl top car, except there was no vinyl. It looked pretty good that way, but of course it was just a stock 350 2 bbl car. Didn't see many with the painted tops, but the ordering information allows it.
Personally not a fan of the top trim without any reason for it, say the same color top. I'd say whatever your hood stripe color, just paint the top and the trunk lid edge stripes (if you so choose) the same shade of whatever. Just my opinion. Do whatever you wish.

Correctly adding the brightwork for a vinyl top is no small task.as the clips and hardware to secure this isn't just put on there ***** nilly. You would need a pretty precise template to get everything where it needs to be.
To each his own, but I wouldn't try this and I'm dang near fearless....
