I went to open the vent window on the car I bought last week and the hindge is broken can it be replaced or do I need to get a new window and frame? If I need a new one can I use a hardtop vent window on my convertible?

Ok guys, I think this is the car he needs help with.

Parts Place has vent window parts. http://www.thepartsplaceinc.com/ocat...&YearList=1967 and use 'vent window' as the keyword. Someone on this forum will likely have a used part for less than what it costs new.

It would be a good idea in the future to describe what model, and year of car you need the part for. I did a quick visit to your homepage and found the pic. Hope that's the right car. I think the part you're looking for can be found on any of the Cutlass models that are hardtops. If it's just the vent locking pivot that's broken, those are just 30 bucks a set.
