Post Trunk and Package Tray 63 Dyn 88 Holiday Coupe

We are in the process of restoring the trunk and package tray area and could use some reference info.

How were the trunk areas finished? Ours is painted black, even the cardboard inserts. Also need parts list and stowage instructions for the spare and jack.

Regarding the pacgage tray, how are they secured? We don't think the one in the car is original.

Any help is appreciated. Pictures are always a bonus.

The trunk area was finished in a light brown spatter paint.
Spare tire was stored on shelf behind rear seat back and was secured by the jack base.
The jack and it's handle were secured just to the right of the trunk latch.

Hey Charlie Jones....

Do you have more pictures of the trunk set up for the 1963 olds?? I'm not sure how everything goes together with the Jack etc. I think I'm missing some parts. Also, do you know where I can buy the cardboard trunk panels?? Thanks

Jack mounting and spare

I finally found the jack mounting illustration in my parts book. I'm attaching it.

As far as the cardboard I don't think anyone reproduces it. Fusick sells the material for Starfires but it's much different.

I was thinking of having a company that does graphics try to print the pattern on sheets of cardboard for me that I could cut out .

If I go ahead with this, I will certainly let the Olds community know about this . And try to split the cost of doing this by making a number of sets of trunk cardboards .

Another thing I'm still investigating is light brown spatter paint with white spatters. I haven't found anybody that makes this either.

Spatter Paint

I am color blind so I have some challenges. I did find a gray/white spatter paint made by Dupli-Color. It looks close to what the original is. Do you know what the original color was for the 1963 Oldsmobile trunk?
