Seam Sealer

Hey guys i am about to paint the underneath of the car and was wondering if there was supposed to be any seam sealer under there. I blasted the underneath and don't seem to recall seeing any, but there was a lot of undercoating so it was kinda hard to tell.

I don't recall seam sealer on the bottom of these cars, seems to be only on the top & sides of joints. Not to say there isn't an underbody seam I have forgotten, but none come to mind.

I just took the body of my '67 off the frame and spent some time hand-cleaning and painting the bottom of the floorpans and am now working at cleaning up the interior floorpans and trunk. Other than the seam sealer used for the oval-shaped body plugs, I didn't run into any on the outside. All seam sealer was used on the inside floorpans and in the trunk panel seams, and while I suppose it's possible a tiny bit might have dripped out the seams, I sure didn't see any. But there was no direct exterior application of seam sealer on the floorpans. There IS some on the exterior firewall and cowl areas though.

Of course, the roof drip rails were half filled with seam sealer.

I'm using an Eastwood kit that has all three different types...the caulk, the brush-on sealer and the rope type.
