Reasonable body shop mn/wi

I'm looking to find a body shop around the twin cities or south to help me with my 70 delta custom. Not looking to build a show car but don't want a butcher either. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

If Chicago isn't too far, PM me - think I even have pictures.

I'm not sure. Id like to keep it round a few grand or so. But if that's not possible I guess I'll have to wait a few months

I contacted a couple local "economy" shops around town to get some ballpark estimates to do your car Maaco burnsville 952-736-7991 was the lowest at $1500 Plus any body work/ rust repair
Abra roseville 651-639-9848 $5000- $7000. The specialty restoration guys were over $10,ooo.

Good luck with your project

Thanks a ton for your help, do you know anything about the kinda work maaco does or do you think I should save up a while longer.

I have seen both some nice work and some not so nice results come from the different maaco shops. The end results depend on the pains taken in the prep work. If you have time check a couple different locations and ask if they have references from satisfied customers. The maaco located closest to me used to be really good. Now there is a new owner and I have been told they are one to stay away from.

Another thought , have you checked with any local schools. I have seen a couple cars that were done at this one in whitebear

I guess labor was free and the job cost only the price of materials

I had considered that at one time and maybe I should take some time and make some calls. Thanks for the idea.

Since I'm looking to make this car into a driver not a show car I'm having it done matte black for a decent price. But I need to find a shop around the twin cities to install a new vinyl roof as I like the lines it adds? Any ideas out there?
