parts interchange
I'm thinking about picking up a 1969 F-85 2 door coupe that originally had a 4 speed and a 350. not a post car. the floors are good, no bumpers, RF fender is not there, rear quarters are tough, no motor or trans. Might be a cool little project. I don't know what body parts are interchangeable with the oldsmobiles of this era. I'm not into restoring. I just like cool cars, and I don't mind putting different years of parts on as long as it looks good without major modifications. I've always liked the 68-72 style of cutlass's and 442's, but didn't realize the differences between years until I started checking them out a little more closely. I'll probably have to get a 69 rear bumper (which may be a task). Will a 70-71 front end fit? There seems to be a lot more parts available for these years. If so, can I still use the 69 hood? I know the marker lights are different, but what else? A lot of questions...I know, but I really like the style of this body style and I can get this bomber for a good price.

Mix and match
Lots of stuff on a '68 Cutlass interchanges with '69...but not the rad support....fenders, quarters, interior parts do, but not the door panels (the inside lock was moved forward) dash but the '69 column has the IGN key in it...first year... etc.
