How to remove upper hood molding

How to remove upper hood molding

I was wondering how do you remove the molding that runs across the top of the hood? Does it just pop off or is there a special way to do it? Thanks

Rubber mallot and start on the ends. Once it starts moving there make your way across. Will come off pretty easy that way.

I would suggest being very careful, maybe using a plastic pry piece (iow's, not a metal screwdriver!!!). Just kidding. Once you get it started, it should come off fairly easy. Careful, careful, careful.

That piece is just held on by friction. Do what the guys above said - and do it slow and easy so nothing gets tweaked, marred or scratched.
