So I have great condition grills and was wondering what you guy are using to paint them to get them looking good. Also painting the black lines back in the middle. Any thoughts.
I hand sanded mine because the paint was sort of chalky due to age (that was a chore getting in between the slots) then sprayed them with Krylon Dull Aluminum rattle can. I was uncertain about how to paint the insets black, and finally decided to free-hand it with a small brush from a Testors model paint brush set. I don't remember exactly what paint I used, it was either some Testors black that I had laying around or it was a Krylon rattle can that I sprayed into a cup then dipped the brush into the paint.
The free-hand paint job is not perfect, with some paint up the sides of the insets, but it's not visible unless you get up really close. It's good enough for me as my car is a daily driver / cruiser and not a show car.

Kenneth I've done same on various grills, etc. over the years. You did a fantastic job. That is such tedious mind numbing neck wrenching work.
