Cutting compound question

Hey guys just a quick question, we recently painted my cutlass and after wet sanding hit it with cutting compound and after washing the car off we saw spots what appear to be dried cutting compound. My question is will the polish clear off that dried compound or do we need to go over these spots with compound again before we polish? Thanks for your help.

If it doesn't wash off easily, go back over it again with the compound. Also, don't let the compound dry when you are doing this. Work in smaller areas and wipe the sections as you go. After the compound is used you should be going over it with a polishing compound and a foam polishing pad. Again, work in small areas and wipe off as you go.
