what company offers the closest Argent Paint color for SSII wheels?

 

 

From what I can dig up:

RM-BASF A5273 says it's argent gray for the Hurst Olds wheels per the color reference library.

Additionally, Thorton Reproductions sells their version of the paint already in cans.

I believe there were lighter argents used a bit later, but can't recall where I saw them. So I guess it depends on the year. I'm pretty sure they used the darker argent up through 71, but I could have sworn they were lighter on my 72 442 as I remember. Maybe because it was a silver car it actually had SSIII painted silver as well? I just don't recall. That was almost 40 years ago.
