Hey guys,

I am looking for options to replace the hood molding on my 76 Cutlass 442. Earlier this year someone advised me that a hood molding off of a 73 or so would work, which at that time was stainless steel.

I found one bought, however it doesn't fit... Would a 75 hood molding fit and yet be stainless?

My old plastic one is yellowed with age...

 

I had the same problem with my 77 cutlass. Just had it painted last winter and the body shop tried to paint the molding some kind of chrome color. He didnt like it so he cleaned it off with some solvent and it took the yellow off. It really looks pretty good now.
