Hey all, I have been looking everywhere trying to find some rubber trim that goes around the inside of my doors. I ordered some "D- trim" a while back. It was 1in. wide but it looks like I need about 2in wide but I can't find any like that. Any suggestions where to look? My current trim is 50 years old and I get a lot of air leaking in making a lot of noise while driving. Thanks
On a side note, I replaced the rubber trim pieces that go on the rear window to seal the gap between the front and rear window. It's pretty obvious how it goes on, but it was kind of hard to get it to slide into place without damaging it. I did lube it with silicone spray or wd-40, can't remember exactly but it was lubed. In the end it did get damaged a bit and after a year is coming off. I'm going to try to replace them again. Any tips for getting it into he chrome without tearing it up?
If you're talking about the rubber door seals in the door jambs those should be available thru Fusick.com or steelerubber.com.
Might not be cheap but if the premade stuff is available there is no sense trying to piece together parts store generic stuff that will never seal properly.
