Does anybody know if the doors, hood, fenders & trunk lid from a 71 cutlass supreme 2dr hardtop will fit a 70 convertible? thanks Scott

 

The doors, fenders, and hood will interchange. trunk lid will not. Convertibles used the same trunk lid as a 4 door. For the doors, you would need to drill holes and install the door guides for a convertible. Spots to be drilled are dimpled on the doors.

 

What are your thoughts on remanufacutred fenders, hoods and so-on? should i buy a solid donor car or new parts?

 

used parts are better, repos are usually cheaper to purchase and find quicker but harder to use in the end. Also minor differences in 70 fenders and 71/72 if that's a concern, nothing from the outside really and many cars including my 70s have 71s on them.

 

Can you switch the hood latches from the right side to the left side? My 70 hood latch is on the right and the hood im trying to buy from a 71 is on the left. thanks

 

I don't know if the 70 and 71 hoods are exactly the same. The 70s have the tongue connected to the hood, the 71/72s don't. I know the OAI hoods from 71/72 do not interchange with 70
